Our roof is not flat, it has a sloping front. The new rubber would not lay flat under the trim in this area, so we had to cut a pie shaped piece out. To insure a good seal Eternabond was bonded to both sides of the rubber and the edges caulked. This is a technique used in commmercial rubber roof applications too.
